People say I'm:Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Still want a hovercraft from a far planet! Sometimes the Magic works sometimes it doesn't Chief Dan George -......Hoka Hey! It is a good day to die!", Crazy Horse, June 25th 1876....... . ......Love my native american Lakota ancestry and want to acknowledge all my relations... human and animal, plant kingdom, Mother Earth and the Great Spirit, Wakan Tanka!..... Blessings to Sitting Bull and all strong hearted warriors!.... Respects to FaithKeeper and Chief Oren Lyons too! ........... So.. goals.. and things about me..... I want a hovercraft.... one from a far planet! I also aspire to confuse cats! but also wonder if that is a realistic goal...... and I want to also add I agree that "No one expects the spanish inquisition!" (thanks Monty Python for the absurd memory of the modern elderly British Ladies being held in chains by the Inquisitors! They were truly surprised by the Spanish Inquisition!) ...... seriously though, I believe in the power and energy of Love and Beauty to heal the world. Art is part of that pathway for me, a spiritual purpose, a truth.... Love is the key to all. See the beauty and love within and let that out. See it in others. Feed that and it grows. We are what we think and feel.....I am a devotee of the Goddess Isis... Have been called "Yosemite Sam" after the cartoon character and also the Holy Hydrogen Bomb! Trying to stay grounded though and so as Baba Ram Das says: Be here now!

Describe Yourself:In a dream long ago I was told that I am a mystic dreamer in a coat of many colors and that this is to be my path through the world in this life...living in many worlds at once is my reality..... Shamanic wisdom I find most helpful. So with the ancient Jackal and the Opener of the Ways I walk in life and in dreams. The old religion of Egypt, of Isis and Osiris, and the way of the native americans speak to me most profoundly...but all true paths lead to the Source and to that place of the first time...
Here is an invocation of the First Time in Old Egyptian
kheper-i kheper kheperu kheper-kuy m kheperu n Khepri kheper m sep tepy...
"[when] I became, the becoming became, I have become the becoming [the form] of Khepri who came into being on the First Time...
...when I became, the transformations became, all the metamorphoses coming to pass after I had become."

I have been listening to an old song... images of a haunted and wild west that did and does still really exist on its own special part of the astral plane... Lots of very haunted Ghost Towns out here in the west with real live ghosts.... and these cowboys were not friendly in life and they are not in their earth bound state now either!
The Song is nice though! Ghost Riders in the Sky

Listening to Joni Mitchell's Ladies of the Canyon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7MS-k7RfAY
and I am listening to Twelve Thirty by the Mamas and Papas... Young girls are coming to the Canyon and in the mornings I can see them walking.. I can no longer keep my blinds drawn... and I can't keep myself from talking...

Some of my favorite lines from the Rubaiyat
AWAKE! for Morning in the Bowl of Night
Has flung the Stone that puts the Stars to Flight:
And Lo! the Hunter of the East has caught
The Sultan's Turret in a Noose of Light.
Dreaming when Dawn's Left Hand was in the Sky
I heard a voice within the Tavern cry,
"Awake, my Little ones, and fill the Cup
Before Life's Liquor in its Cup be dry."
Ah, my Beloved, fill the Cup that clears
TO-DAY of past Regrets and future Fears---
To-morrow?---Why, To-morrow I may be
Myself with Yesterday's Sev'n Thousand Years.
Iram indeed is gone with all its Rose,
And Jamshyd's sev'n-ring'd cup where no one knows;
But still the Vine her ancient Ruby yields,
and still a Garden by the water blows.
-From the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam
"He who knows does not speak.
He who speaks does not know.
Close the mouth.
Shut the door of desire.
Blunt the sharpness.
Untie the tangles.
Soften the light.
Become one with the dusty world."
( Lao Tzu, in the sixth century B.C.
"Now there are some things we all know, but we don't take'm out and look at'm very often. We all know that something is eternal. And it ain't houses and it ain't names, and it ain't earth, and it ain't even the stars .... everybody knows in their bones that something is eternal, and that something has to do with human beings. All the greatest people ever lived have been telling us that for 5000 years and yet you'd be surprised how people are always losing hold of it. There's something way down deep that's eternal about every human being.-

Oh, Isis, I was afraid you were being abused or otherwise traumatized, even spanked. From treating PTSD, I know how important it is to describe the offensive behavior right away to soften the images that get logged into the brain.

Hi Isis.
Yes...I finally made it to the Boris club. Is there a membership fee?
Is it refundable if needed? Is there a line for soda or popcorn? Red carpet? Plush seats? What do we get? lol
Hugs,
J

My Inspiration
©Robert C Burnham
I paint with words on parchment
In hope that they’ll reflect
Your sacredness resting within me
Your honor, your truth and your respect.
Our two souls have been united
Entwined in solitary embrace
Stitched together in cosmic fashion
Created by God’s own grace.
You are the fertile and rich soil
That allows my soul to grow
You are the mirror of my eyes
That allows my love to show.
The nutrients of your wisdom
Have awakened my sleeping shell
Forgotten, is my sadness inside
Adios, Au Revoir, Farewell.
You are my anchor in life’s sea
That once tossed me to and fro
Its storms and tempest winds
Given way, to your rainbow.
These words that I have painted
Across your soul and mine
I pray they’ll offer hope to all
That all love is not blind.
I know I am not a Poet
At best, I can only pretend
My inspiration comes from your sweet essence
And your essence flows from my pen.

Isis, Terry can't use the ticket. So if you or B. can't think of anyone I will publish an article offering the ticket. I would hate for it to go to waste. John Doyle says he is no longer publishing to Gather. I am so bummed! I love John's poetry! He published an article which I accepted in the art group. Maybe if enough of us ask him to he will reconsider. Svetlana and I already have. I have been a little depressed lately (maybe you have noticed), thinking of crawling into my hidey-hole. I have a feeling it might be crowded in there today. Oy! I will try to be here later. Chana

Isis, I finally won something! But, there is a catch, I have to be in London to make use of it! It is a ticket to the Tutankhamun exhibit at the O2 in London. I pinged Terry Collett and asked him if he was interested. If he isn't do you or maybe B. know of anyone who might like it? I would have to forward the e-mail I received because they require you submit that and a photo I.D. at the box office to get the ticket. Chana
